Togo’s form heading towards World Cup 2006
February 5th, 2006 | By: Nick O'Neill | No Comments »
When I look at a team’s chances in an upcoming World Cup I look at their qualifying results. The fact that the African Nations Cup falls between the end of the World Cup qualifying and the start of the competition, largely negates that. Togo’s latest 3 games have not been good, losing all 3 (0-2 against Congo, 0-2 against Cameroon and 2-3 against Angola).
A glint of hope comes from the fact that Togo scored 2 against Angola. Angola came top of World Cup qualifying group 4, that included Nigeria. Maybe Togo started to figure things out at the end of the tournament.
