Togo: Can they qualify for the next round?

June 15th, 2006 | By: Nick O'Neill | 2 Comments »

Can Togo get through to the next round at World Cup 2006? To be honest I have no idea, my predictions usually end up completely off. After the 1st round games, Togo is bottom of Group G, with 0 points. S.Korea is top, with 3 points, followed by France and Switzerland with 1 point each.

Good points for Togo to think about are: They can score, they showed glimpses of footballing ability and both France and Switzerland didn’t look that good. Chances are Togo will finish botton in the group, but who knows what will happen.

Togo does have a chance of advancing to the Round of 16. The team is definitely capable of scoring and has a great defense. It all depends on the upcoming match between France and SK. I think Togo does have the ability to beat France (and possibly the Swiss) as it seems the French have already conceded this World Cup.

Togo worldcup team showed capacity that scored on the first game in Worldcup. You have power and excellent players like adebayor, kadar. Togo can beat any other team in this Worldcup 2006. Go Togo.
