I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Brad and I’m going to be taking this Togo blog from here all the way through the qualifications for the World Cup in South Africa. I love to blog, I love football, and more than that I love Togolese football. I spent seven years as a kid in Togo and it still holds a place in my heart. It seemed like everyday I was out in the streets playing football with kids and adults alike. At that time I never imagined that the tiny country of Togo would ever get their chance on the world stage.

I also religiously checked this blog leading up to the 2006 World Cup and am excited to take over the writing duties. There will be a lot to write about and discuss over the next couple years and I look forward to all the ups and downs that come with an African country like Togo trying to qualify for the worlds biggest tournament.
