Togo crashed out of World Cup 2006 Germany, with a 2-0 loss to Switzerland. In a sense Togo already had one foot out of the World Cup already, with a mutinous team refusing to train or play and a coach who was in and out himself.

FIFA officials expained that the playing of the Korean national anthem for Togo, was human error. Togo’s ambassador to Germany wrote a letter to FIFA complaining. These things happen and there is no need for the high-brows to get involved.
